Macy’s supports Go Red for Women movement

Macy's continues to show its love for the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women movement and will commemorate American Heart Month with the annual Wear Red Sale, a collection of exclusive red dresses designed to benefit the cause, red-inspired in-store events, and a heartfelt social media campaign. As a founding national sponsor of the movement, Macy's has raised more than $28 million for Go Red in the fight against heart disease.

Building on the success of last year's "Go Red Dress" by I-N-C International Concepts, American Heart Month in 2012 will prove to be more fashionable than ever with the addition of exclusive red dresses from Alfani, Charter Club and I-N-C. The red dresses will be available in select stores and at macys.com in time to celebrate National Wear Red Day on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012.

"At Macy's, we stay committed to the cause and take our role as national sponsor of the Go Red movement to heart. From the in-store experience with exclusive fashions and events, to social media campaigns, we are always striving for fresh and innovative ways to raise funds and to motivate and educate our customers and associates on the importance of heart-healthy lifestyles," says Martine Reardon, Macy's executive vice president of Marketing."
