UK retailer Topshop to launch eco-apparel collection

Joining the movement to reduce the carbon footprint, UK based apparel retail giant Topshop has collaborated with eco-fashion brand Reclaim To Wear to launch a capsule collection entirely made from surplus stock and production off-cuts.

The collection would be simultaneously launched in Topshop's Oxford Circus store in London as well as for online consumers next month. It comprises of a blouse, grey marl sweater and colour block panel maxi dress.

Orsola de Castro, Creative Director of Reclaim To Wear, said the initiative is aimed at creation of zero waste design collections. Topshop team’s dedication towards new sustainable solutions would lead the entire fashion industry supply chain to reconsider the status of their consumption versus disposal.

Founded in 1997, the eco-fashion label by Castro and Managing Director Filippo Ricci, Reclaim To Wear aims to cut the amount of waste fabrics in the apparel and fashion industry.
